hi all. I have two versions of jaws on my computer, 5 and 5.1. I want 5.1 to run automatically when I press the hotkey, but the hot key turns on jaws 5. any help?

Heya, go and reset the hot key to the 5.1 version of the program?

uh, hmm, well, is there a reason you still need jaws 5 there? you could uninstall it....

Meh, uninstalling it shouldn't harm anything. just be sure to preserve any of the dictionary files, scripts etc that you might want. The 5.1 scripts should be the same (probably even better), but I had scripts for GMud that I wanted carried over from 4.51 to 5. Any special scripts you may have, just zip all the files and unzip them into the jaws 5.1 folder. Then, when everything you want is copied over, go ahead and uninstall 5.

First of all, go to the jaws5.0 icon on your desktop, hit alt enter on it to bring up the properties, tab untill you hear shortcut key:hotkey, then hit the letter o for old, hit apply and ok. Then go to jaws5.1, hit alt enter on that icon to bring up it's properties, then tab untill you get to the hotkey edit box again, then hit j, apply and ok, and presto! it should then bring up jaws5.1 every time you hit control alt j to start it up.
